Environmental Enforcement

Vharida Group (Pty) Ltd. is 100% black owned company that was established in 2017 with a company number: 2017/063891/07. The company is currently rendering its services to Consolidated Power Projects (CONCO) in Vredendal, Western Cape for Transnet project. The project entails the upgrade of a 50Kv Traction Feeder Substation and 50Kv Overhead Powerline. The contract work entails the following:

  • Pre-work file assessment and evaluation
  •       Conduct environmental pre-construction survey i.e. search and rescue for protected plants as per ecological study
  • Conduct environmental induction to all staff (i.e. contractor, subcontractor) on site and visitors
  • Ensuring the effective management of environmental incidents through efficient diagnostic processes
  • Conduct continual environmental awareness through toolbox talks.
  • Advice site management, Sub-contractors on legislative and governance requirements
  • Advise and evaluate our (CONCO) and subcontractors) compliance to the approved EMP
  • Ensuring effective implementation and communication of recommendations through verification and audit processes
  • Conduct assessment to determine all applicable legal and other requirements as required according to legislation. Monitor all legal requirements and improve continuously
  • Implement, maintain and continuously improve on the Environmental Management
  • Introduce and maintain the relevant Legal registers with associated by-laws for the area in which the work is based.

UPCOMING EVENTS: ARBOR WEEK 1-7 SEPTEMBER 2019

Vharida Group (Pty) Ltd. in partnership with Consolidated Power Projects and Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (D.A.F.F), Western Cape will visit the school around Vredendal where Consolidated Power Projects is doing construction works. This came about uplifting our communities through education and knowledge required to enbetter their communities as well as their surrounding environment. The whole idea is to convey the importance of taking care if the environment thereby conserving the natural environment which is the life giver to human beings.
